Côté Marché 市界隈

Côté Marché sits on Inokuma-dori just below Sanjo, in the heart of Nakagyo and well inside the old city centre, a comfortable walk south of Nijo Castle with the Sanjo-dori shops and cafes close at hand. The house takes one group at a time, so the whole place is yours. The ground floor is built around a flexible Japanese-style living room that becomes a tatami bedroom for one at night, alongside a full kitchen, a dining area, a bathroom and toilet, and a quiet courtyard to sit out in. Upstairs are two more bedrooms, one with twin beds and one tatami room, plus a second toilet and shower room, and the ground-floor tatami room has underfloor heating for the colder months. With space for up to six across the house, it works for a family or two couples who want to be central and fully self-contained at the same time.
