B&B overview
In the age of the kimono these streets were known as a Gion of their own, a sign of how well-placed and well-connected the neighbourhood was, and it still sits within an easy walk of several landmarks: about thirteen minutes to Nijo Castle, fifteen to Kitano Tenmangu and twenty-six to the Kyoto Imperial Palace. The two-bedroom house, for up to five guests, was renovated with the everyday details worked out in advance rather than left to chance. There is a private bathroom on each of the two floors, both stocked with Pola bath products, a Dyson Supersonic dryer, and a kitchen equipped well beyond the usual: a De'Longhi kettle and bread maker, a Bruno multi-cooker, rice cooker, induction hob and microwave. A private drying area and a full massage chair round out a house set up for a comfortable stay rather than a quick stopover. Children's tableware and supplies are kept on hand, which makes things easier for families.
