B&B overview
The house sits on one of Kyoto's better-connected corners, where Hankyu Saiin, the Randen tram at Saiin and the Nishioji-Shijo bus stops all meet. That puts Osaka-Umeda within about an hour, the Shijo-Kawaramachi shopping district six minutes away by train, and the Randen line runs straight out to Arashiyama and the Togetsukyo bridge; for the temples, buses go directly to Kiyomizu-dera, Nijo Castle, the Imperial Palace and Kinkaku-ji. Inside, three bedrooms sleep up to six, which works as well for a family as for two couples travelling together. The renovation paid attention to the things you notice at night and in the morning: well-ventilated rooms, double-layer blackout curtains, and a bathroom with heating and a dryer. There are toilets on both floors and the usual branded bath products, so a full house isn't waiting on one another.
